About

In July 2017, we caught the bug. We decided we wanted to sail the world. Someday, we said. Then it occurred to us that everyone always talks about all the stuff they want to do someday, but then they never get around to it. Usually because people spend their good years working hard, collecting money and buying useless stuff, only to find themselves later at a point where they have finally the freedom to do what they want, but then realize they are too old to do it. We decided to not let that happen. We had been on a sailboat exactly once in Key West for a sunset wine and cheese tour. So the extent of our sailing knowledge revolved loosely around fermented grapes and rotten milk. Oh boy, what are we doing?

Update 6/20/21: We sold all our stuff, moved to SW Florida, and upgraded our boat to a 2005 Island Packet 370.

Update 6/20/23: Having survived a direct strike from Hurricane Ian more or less unscathed, we are within 6 months of achieving the our goal of living full time on the boat and becoming full time cruisers.  Woo!
